a NIGHT AT CAMP NAMANU
Camp Namanu is located in the foothills of Mount Hood, in the Mount Hood National Forest. It was established in 1924 as an all girls camp for the Camp Fire Organization. Namanu is set on 552 Acres and houses dozens of rustic cabins, lodges and other buildings-- as well as a pond, a pool and a meadow. It's a very special place for Portland kids to go in the summer-- and a very special place for us to host our wedding.
The Camp is ours for the night! By that, we mean, guests are welcome to come for the ceremony and reception and stay the night, or just come for the ceremony and reception. Cabins are rustic, though most have electricity and heat, and some have bathrooms. For cabins that don’t have bathrooms, the nearest Suzie is a short walk. Beds are twin bunks with mattresses. Parking is limited, so we encourage you to carpool, if that's an option. We will be providing dinner on Saturday night, and breakfast Sunday morning for guests who stay. And, if you are coming in from out of town, we will do our best to provide sleeping bags or blankets.
Below you will find everything you need to know to enjoy our wedding weekend:
